Alfons Karabuda

As a composer, mainly of film and theatre music, Alfons has an extensive career in Sweden and internationally, with music composed for BBC, Zentropa, DR, SVT, the Swedish Film Institute, Dansens Hus and the Stockholm City Theatre. Alfons Karabuda is chairman of SKAP (The Swedish Society of Songwriters, Composers and Authors), ECSA (European Composer & Songwriter Alliance), APCOE (The Alliance of Popular Music Composer Organization of Europe) and MUSIKSVERIGE. Member of the board of STIM (Swedish International Music Composers Bureau), NCB (Nordic Copyright Bureau) and Svensk Musik (Swedish Music Information Centre). Recently appointed by the government to the arts council of Statens Musikverk (Music Development and Heritage of Sweden).

Jan-Olof Andersson

Composer, guitar player and singer. Born 1954 in Skövde, Sweden and moved to Stockholm in 1974. An active touring singer-songwriter who has collaborated closely with instrumental groups over the whole of the Nordic area. Specialises in the Swedish “vis” (ballad) tradition. Also active as a session musician as well as the creator of a number of CDs with his own works and interpretations of others.

Dan Bornemark

Son of children's music composer Gullan and bandleader Valter. Dan continued in their tracks, and inspired by Frank Zappa and Spike Jones, the Beatles and Pat Metheny, he has found his own expression and his own way to making catchy songs for kids.

Dan is passionate about the small music producers all over Sweden. Those who besides composing also handle production, contracts, gigs, publishing, online stores and more.

Douglas Carr

Born 1968, song writer and producer. One of the most internationally successful members of SKAP. Has written numerous works for Swedish artists who have enjoyed export successes, for example Ace of Base (the Sign) and Dr Alban (Sing Hallelujah). Also together with Swedish singer songwriter Meja which gave awards in Japan. Currently heavily involved together with a colleague, in the publishing/production company LaCarr.

Elise Einarsdotter

Born 1955. Member of the STIM stipend committee. Jazz pianist and composer who has studied in Boston, New York and Stockholm. Active within a number of genres: jazz, choral music, setting lyrics to music, film and orchestral music. Active as a teacher, and was one of the prime movers when the Royal Music Conservatory in Stockholm introduced the jazz programme in the 1980s.

Johan Ekelund

Composer, producer and musical arranger. Studied at the Institute for Electroacoustic Music (EMS) in Stockholm. Member of the rock group Ratata. Has composed, arranged and produced recordings with numerous artists: Lisa Nilsson, Anne Linnet, Peter Jöback, Esbjörn Svensson Trio, Fra Lippo Lippi, Stina Nordenstam, to name but a few. Founder of digital media distributor Klicktrack, independent music publisher Kobalt Music and independent record label Diesel Music. Board member of STIM, Export Music Sweden and IMPALA (Independent Music Companies Association). Member of the Polar Music prize awards committee.

Karina Kampe

Artist, singer and songwriter who works a lot of genres. In recent years though, jazz has dominated. Active in the Swedish Musicians' Union. A typical DIY person who wants to be involved throughout the process.

Torgny Söderberg

Began at a young age to play the trumpet, and came early in contact with various brass bands and jazz groups. He has worked professionally with music since 1975 as a composer, lyricist, arranger and music producer. Member of SKAP since 1975.

Writes music in different genres like pop, jazz, pop and ballads. Torgny has written songs for television, radio and revue scenes. Was invited as a composer to Melodifestivalen 1974 and has since participated in the festival with 13 contributions, by 2007. Won the Eurovision Song Contest 1984 (Diggiloo Diggiley). Ran from 1975 music publisher CMM Music. Started Big Bag Records together with Lasse Holm in 1988  (Lena Philipsson, Brother Ali, Lotta Engberg, Arja Saiionmaa Sofia Kjällgren, Peter Jöback Shotgun Messiah, Lasse Wellander etc.).

Former Child Artist. Made her debut as a 10-year-old 1966. Made records, radio, television and toured with the group Smulorna. Went on as a composer of theater music. Published song books and books on children and aesthetics. Rhythm teacher and teacher trainer at the Royal College of Music. Most recent worked as development consultant at Concerts Sweden.
